The Power Desk

When a close friend of ours came to us looking for a solution to his gaming problems, we were all ears. Over the last couple years, P had amassed a very impressive flight simulator setup and was stuck using an old table they had in the house, modified with various clamps and random objects to try and fit all of his equipment.

The request was simple. A long, sturdy, heavy desktop capable of supporting the weight of his equipment with the options to add cable management, storage, more devices and more add ons. Originally, he had thought he wanted a butcher block top, but we came to the conclusion that a solid face grain top would make much more sense for his application.

To match the current flooring, we landed on the GOAT of hardwoods, walnut. The result is this beautiful chocolate brown top, mounted on modern steel legs, finished in rubio monocoat pure.

Furniture doesn’t have to be complicated and intricate to be stunning. Sometimes, it’s the simplest designs that stop the show, and this desk proves that.
